This site was built to be read, not to read you.

What this site collects

lonnierae.com is a static site. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment boxes, and no advertising trackers. Nothing here asks for your name, and nothing here builds a profile of you.

One small preference — whether you have turned the ambient sound on or off — is stored in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers your choice next time. It never leaves your device.

Analytics

If visit statistics are measured at all, they are measured in aggregate — which pages are read and roughly how often — to understand what is worth writing more of. Aggregate counts are not tied to you as a person, and no personal data is sold or traded with anyone, ever.

If you write to me

The only personal information this site ever handles is what you choose to send. If you email lonnie.r.kurlander@gmail.com, your address and message are used to reply to you — nothing else. You will not be added to a list, and your correspondence will not be shared.

Third parties

Some typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files directly from Google's servers when the page opens. Links on this site lead to other places — my ventures, published work, LinkedIn — and once you are there, their privacy practices apply, not this one.

Your choices

There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to — the site sets no tracking cookies. If you have written to me and later want that correspondence deleted, ask, and it will be. If you prefer the site silent, the sound toggle stays off once you set it; if you prefer it still, your system's reduced-motion setting is honored without being asked.

What this site will never do

No selling of personal data, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting, no dark-pattern consent flows, no purchased mailing lists. If the way this site works ever changes in a way that touches your privacy — analytics added, a form introduced — this page will change first, and the date at the top will say so. The working principle: this site should never know more about you than a printed page would.
